Weekends are my oasis.

In this modern culture of ours it seems people persue passion and vice simply for an identity, just as often as an individual would earnestly indulge oneself. That said, I've often found myself wondering what it is that fuels my passions. Last night, for example, Natalia asked me what my passion was: "the human condition" (I answered through my altered state of mind). I still agree with that statement. And today I was drinking from this amazing play I randomly came upon in the UGA bookstore. It's Karel Capek's R.U.R. The man really was an amazing writer and intellectual. And I love his work. It fascinates me. I recommend the play to one and all. The work itself is responsible for our very contemporary term "robot". An anti-utopian piece, it imparts the reader with a tolerant, relativist view of humankind when the philosophies of Socialism, Nazism, Democracy and Communism were busy spouting supposed ultimate truths of existance. It was written following the First World War, when such ideologies were running rampant. Capek, I've just discovered, was one of the foremost writer and social commentator between the two great wars. Anywho, its an incredibly interesting read, both for its meaning and its story. Go and get yourself a copy if your interested in anything I just said.

Oh, and Crush Girls = stellar. Last night was much fun indeed! What with great kids (Kat, Nat and Drew to name a few), christening my new vaporizer (with purple haze!), Capt. Morgan's Spiced Rum, and dancing for 4 hours straight. So yes, Sean is still recovering from Friday night and must drag himself to bed. Good night and what not!

P.S. My cell phone is once again K.I.A. It died a violent death involving its sudden immersion in water... So anywho, no phone. Sorry chaps!
